A liqueur obtained by macerating the lime peel (Citrus aurantifolia, a natural hybrid of Citrus medica), fruit of Caribbean origin but now historicized in the Mediterranean area. The fresh fruit, rich in precious substances and components, has been the reserve of vitamins for sailors around the world for centuries. Served cold,  it is an excellent after-dinner liquor, excellent when used to enhance cocktails, aperitifs and long drinks making them particularly pleasant and refreshing.
