This precious liqueur is obtained from the prolonged maceration of the bergamot peel, the ancient Citrus bergamia, (the name comes from the Turkish word armudi meaning “Our Lord’s pear”) citrus fruit that grows on the ancient Gelsomini Coast, in the province of Reggio Calabria. This area was dear to Ulysses, full of legends and also the only place in Italy where the bergamot grows, favoured by its microclimate. It has always been researched for its innumerable properties, some of which have proven to be curative. Our Bergamot liqueur keeps its fresh and fragrant aroma intact, as if freshly picked. It should be served very cold and preferably after meals. It is a unique and original way to aromatize  sweets, granitas and ice cream. It’s an excellent dessert liqueur, especially with almond cookies and other types of biscuits. It can also personalize your cocktails and long drinks in a distinctive way.
